Meet Our Team

kespic.JPG

I have been a passionate paper crafter for over 20 years. It all started in 1997, when I attended a Creative Memories party at a friend's house and I was hooked. In 2008, I decided to take my hobby to the next level and start a business. I founded Creative Inkling with the belief that everyone has a creative side waiting to be discovered. We opened in Peddler’s Village in Pennsylvania as a welcoming “Happy Place” for crafters. It was a struggle, as we literally opened a few weeks prior to the financial crisis. Though we closed in 2011, I remained committed to the dream and, in 2018, reopened in a beautifully renovated space in Hatboro, PA featuring a store, classroom, and overnight retreat. Over the years, I have built many treasured friendships, making it even more heartbreaking when I had to close our doors due to the pandemic. However, my love for paper crafting continues. Today, I share my passion as a vendor and instructor at craft shows, weekend crops and other events teaching scrapbooking, cardmaking and Zentangle. I invite everyone and anyone to join us by sharing your love of papercrafting with us wherever we are.

I have always been drawn to all things arts/crafts. In grade school, art was my favorite class. I always liked to sketch, paint, decoupage, you name it. I think I was inspired by the artistic talent of my maternal grandmother, which has flowed through many of the members of my family. Once I got to high school, I made it a priority to take art classes and enjoyed them thoroughly! I had planned to go to one of the art schools in Philadelphia for college. As often happens, life got in the way and that was not going to be my path. My interest and love for art & craft stayed in my heart and as often as I could, I dabbled in whatever I could. Whether it was scrapbooking pics of my growing family, or making cards for people in my life, or creating something for my home, for a gift, or just exploring a new avenue of arts & crafts, I tried to fit in into my life when I could. While scrapbooking & cardmaking will always be my first love, the discovery of the mixed media arena opened my heart even more. When I tried my hand at Art Journaling, it felt like it was something that was always missing from my life and filled my soul, my bliss! I also love sharing/teaching all of these mediums and hope to do more in the coming years.

While I may not consider myself a crafter, I’ve loved being part of my mom’s business and the incredible community that surrounds it. As a middle school math teacher, teaching is my passion, and I bring that same enthusiasm to every event we attend. I lead our make-and-take activities, helping people learn new techniques and feel more confident in their creativity. Beyond the hands-on teaching, I also support my mom with brainstorming new business ideas and shaping the way we connect with customers. What I’ve come to appreciate most about this world of crafting is the strong sense of community—women supporting each other, sharing ideas, and building friendships through creativity. My mom’s commitment to honesty and helping people make the most of their craft (and their budget!) is something I deeply admire, and it’s been inspiring to see how much people respect her for it. Whether you’re new to crafting or have been at it for years, I hope to help make your experience with us fun, engaging, and rewarding. I’m excited to be a part of this journey and to see the impact creativity can have on bringing people together!
